Wash fruits and vegetables with water before eating them, to get rid of any germs that may be on the outside of them. Soap is alright for hands and bodies, but not for food.
Return refrigerator food to the fridge, so bad germs wont grow on it, and make you sick. Use cold packs or frozen juice boxes in your lunchbox or insulated lunch bag, to keep refrigerator food cold.
Keep non-food items (like backpacks, pets and smelly shoes) off kitchen counters. If they do get on the counter, be sure to clean the counter before preparing food on it.
Bad germs are very tricky. They can make you really sick. You cant see them. They hide in food, on counters, and even on your hands. But they are powerless against cold temperatures, soap and water. Wash your hands often to get rid of germs.
Always wash your hands with soap and warm water, especially before helping in the kitchen, and after playing outside or using the toilet. Continue washing your hands for the time it takes to sing happy birthday twice.
